Life
Coaching Glasgow, Falkirk and Edinburgh
Choice
of Male or Female
accredited Life Coach!
Life
Coaching is often portrayed as a
wonderful "cure all" that is supposed to be able to fix almost
anything! Unfortunately despite the misleading claims of some high
pressure sales types, it is not quite so magical.
Life
Coaching is however a highly effective
form of training orientated self help and therapy. It belongs to the
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy school of training and therapy.
Both coaches have externally accredited awards in coaching to
recognised national standards (from Qualification and Curriculum
Authority recognised awarding bodies) and are fellows of the
Society of Holistic Therapists anc Coaches.
Life
Coaching combines:
- Perceptual change:
Change how you feel about things, this removes blocks and errors in
thinking.
- Behavioural
Change: Change how you behave in certain situations, and even generally.
- New skills: learn
to manage time better, reduce or channel stress, optimise planning and
skills, adapt emotions and feelings.
When you combine the above within a context of promoting life balance
and dealing with any underlying problems therapeutically you have an
extremely powerful change and personal development tool.
Life
Coaching is sometimes used as a response to issues that have arisen.
Ideally it should be used by anyone under pressure, stress or with a
"lot on their plates" as a proactive support system before problems
arise.
Life coaching is
effective for a range of issues including:
- Stopping
destructive behaviours like self sabotage and addictions
- Controlling weight
more effectively
- Nutrition and
exercise management
- Personal
Development
- Well being and
enjoyment
- Anger and Stress
management
- Gaining positive
life balance
- Making the most
out of what you have
- Happier
relationships
- Sales and
motivation
- Self confidence
and self image
- Managing
persistent conditions, illnesses and problems as part of a care plan.
- Goal setting and
within reason getting what you want in life.
- Stop being held
back by defence mechanisms, toxic thought patterns and old fears.
In summary
Life Coaching is not some "wonder
method". It is a combination of tried and tested tools and methods from
a range of training and therapy sources. When put together it enables
you to make the best of what you have, and to get more where possible.
Be
proactive
If
you have a lifestyle that is challenging or stressful, or if you simply
feel under pressure, it makes sense to have life coaching support on a
regular basis, perhaps one session per one or two months. This provides
support and a way of "off loading", as well as providing an opportunity
to have proactive responses to problems.
Where
issues
do arise, whether you have a regular life coach or not, seek support
early
on and take control of the situation before it takes control of you!
Life
Coaching is at
it's most effective when clients engage in sessions early on,
preventing issues from arising, or to maximise performance before
problems can become entrenched.
We have City
Centre bases in Edinburgh and
Glasgow and we are
considering expanding into other cities shortly.
We are complementary health
practitioners,
not alternative health practitioners. This means that we work WITH the
medical profession. If you have an illness or injury, or if you are
going to embark on a new diet, fitness plan or if you have any
uninvestigated symptoms, you must consult your medical doctor.
