There are two sorts of training available:

1. Training clients in personal development skills

2. Training therapists, which is separate from our clinical practice.

For client personal development training we have City Centre bases in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are considering expanding into other cities shortly.

We have two fully qualified therapists on staff, and a network of trusted colleagues around the UK we refer to.

We are complementary health practitioners, not alternative health practitioners. This means that we work WITH the medical profession. If you have an illness or injury, or if you are going to embark on a new diet, fitness plan or if you have any uninvestigated symptoms, you must consult your medical doctor. 

We provide a range of personal development training methods, and these are provided in line with the standards laid down in the NOS (National Occupational Standards) for Healing. They include:

Therapist Training

Professional therapist training is also available. Persons wishing to train as therapists with real accredited standards of training should go to our professional body website at www.societytherapistscoaches.com and consult the information and weblinks there.

Face to face workshops are available via the SHTC (see above). Accredited practitioner training courses are available via Stonebridge Associated Colleges (see below). Please note that Stonebridge Associated Colleges are an NCFE accredited centre, and we write the courses for Stonebridge, who then present appropriate courses for external accreditation through NCFE. We do not claim external accreditation directly, nor are we ourselves an NCFE accredited centre. We work in alliance with Stonebridge in this regard.

NCFE are a QCA (Qualification Curriculum Authority - England). QCA are SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority- Scotland) approved.

7. Joint Professional Life Coaching and Counselling Diploma

Qualification 1: Joint Professional Life Coaching and Counselling Diploma issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.

Qualification 2: Level 5 Joint Professional Life Coaching and Counselling Award

This Course leads to an NCFE Level 5 Award Certificate for successful learners. 

8. Joint Professional NLP Practitioner and Humanistic Counselling Diploma

Qualification 1: Joint Professional NLP Practitioner and Humanistic Counselling Diploma issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.

Qualification 2: Level 5 Joint Professional NLP Practitioner and Humanistic Counselling Award

9. Japanese Holistic Healing Practitioner Course Diploma

Qualification 1: Japanese Holistic Healing Practitioner Course Diploma issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.

Qualification 2: Level 5 Japanese Holistic Healing Practitioner Course Award

Qualification 1: Mood Disorder Coaching Practitioner Course Diploma issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.

Qualification 2: Level 5 Mood Disorder Practitioner Course Award

• Mindfulness training
• Combined Mindfulness and Life coaching combined award (Now incorporates Coaching level 4 award)
• Combined Mindfulness and CBT joint award  (Now incorporates CBT level 5 accredited award)

An NCFE Level award certificate at (for example) level 5 means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3). In accrediting the programme at level 5, NCFE attests that its learning outcomes are at an equivalent level to a level 5 national qualification.

These courses are professionally written by ourselves, and are marked, assessed and verified according to agreed standards by staff at Stonebridge Associated Colleges. Those courses that have gained NCFE award certificates are marked, assessed and verified according to NCFE standards. Stonebridge Associated Colleges are an NCFE accredited training provider. 

Note: the above awards were externally accredited by ASET until Jan 2009, but are now accredited by NCFE following a change of accreditation body at Stonebridge.
